Behind the scenes at the Baur Foundation

30 April 2024

Under the cultural partnership with the Institut International de Lancy (IIL), the Baur Foundation welcomed a small group of film students under the direction of Jean-Kim Messin for almost two years (2022-2024). With the guidance and support of the museum’s director, Laure Schwartz-Arenales, they recorded, interviewed and documented the main themes of the exhibition “Si Loin, Si Proche: le Pays du Matin Calme”, as well as the artists, actors, institutions and logistical stages involved, to deliver the story of “Behind the Scenes of an Exhibition”.

Original idea: Cédric RIDEL (Teaching Faculty at IIL)
Director: Jean-Kim MESSIN (Teaching Faculty and Coordinator of the Arts Department at the IIL)
Film Production Team:
Clémentine DANNAUD (‘Terminale’ student, cinema option at the IIL)
Lucia EASTWOOD-KRAH (Year 12 student, Film Studies IBDP option)
