Outside the classroom

IIL students have access to a wide range of extracurricular activities, supervised study, sports or cultural activities allowing each student to deepen their knowledge and develop their curiosity.

After school

Learning and discovery goes beyond the classroom. IIL offers several options for families depending on the age of the students. On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday the after school options are as follows:

  • Extra curricular activities are available from 15:30. A wide range of activities are proposed for all ages and levels. Certain extracurricular activities are also available during lunchtime.

  • Petite Etude / Primary Study Hall from 15:30 to 16:20, is an optional period for Early Years and Primary students in their classrooms. For Primary students this is a time to do homework and ask specific questions to the teacher.

  • Parascolaire / After School Care from 16:20 to 18:00, is an after school care programme where children ages 3 to 11 are welcomed in a fun and dynamic space for games, art and crafts.

  • Etude surveillée / Secondary Study Hall for Secondary students is optional until 18:00. Study Hall is supervised by an adult from the “Vie Scolaire” and students must be registered.

On Wednesdays, from 11:40 to 12:30, Early Years and Primary students have the option of supervision in class with or without lunch. After 12:30, children can be registered for Extracurricular activities or Parascolaire / After School Care, from 12:30 to 18:00.

For Lower Secondary, classes end at 12:30 on Wednesdays. Upper Secondary students have specific timetables.

Etude / Study Hall

For Early Years and Primary students the “Petite Etude” / Primary Study Hall period is offered from 15:30 to 16:20 every day and from 11:40 to 12:30 on Wednesdays.

For Early Years students, “Petite Etude” / Primary Study Hall is a playtime / library period in the classroom under the guidance of the class assistant.

For Primary school, this time is dedicated to students who have extra questions or wish to do their homework under the supervision of their class teacher. This is a special time of day when teachers can provide individualised help and support to those who may need it from time to time.

For Secondary students, schedules differ depending on age, section and optional classes. A supervised study period is available for Lower Secondary students from 16:30 until 18:00, except on Wednesdays.
