Children’s Walk

The children in Year 3, B5 and 10e have been involved in the most amazing project over the last few months. Following a tradition of many years the children have been working with the UNWG – Geneva to support educational projects across the world.  The UNWG-Geneva is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Children’s Walk this year.  To commemorate this the school was invited to a special ceremony at the UNOG  in May. As part of this event the children created a special wall of rights and responsibilities of the child and where they also met the Director General of UNOG, Mrs. Tatiana Valovaya. 

A few weeks later the children had a morning where they walked around the school to raise money for the educational projects of the UNWG. The children were sponsored by their families and friends for every lap they walked, ‘children walking for children’.

We are very excited to be able to announce that for the Children’s Walk 2023 they have raised 5300CHF. This fantastic achievement is due to the enthusiasm of the teachers and children and the support of the families in B5, Year 3 and 10e.

We were so happy to be able to welcome the organisers of the event to school this week and be able to present a special card to announce this amazing achievement.
