Art contest

A l’initiative de Louise Peacocke, le Département des Arts de l’Institut International de Lancy a eu la joie d’organiser le premier concours d’Art de l’école, avec thème et technique libres. Cette édition 2023-2024 fut déjà un excellent cru puisqu’avec plus de 60 participant.e.s de tous âges, tout genre et toutes techniques, le jury des professeurs d’Art a éprouvé les plus grandes difficuAt the initiative of Louise Peacocke, the IIL Art Department had the pleasure to organise the school’s first art competition for students, open-themed and using the techniques of their choice. This 2023-2024 edition is already one for the books: with over 60 participants of all ages, genders and techniques, the jury of art teachers (P. Baizet, A. McFall, J.K. Messin, D. Normand, L. Peacocke, C. Perrin) found it extremely difficult to choose the winners! They reached their verdict before the school break in February after careful deliberation, based on the technical mastery of the medium used, as well as the creativity demonstrated by each participant. The winners of the competition received their prizes (Gerstaeker art supplies) at a ceremony in March a participation certificate at a ceremony in March. The Art Department team is delighted with this first success and hopes many more students will take part next year!
