I am proud to introduce myself as the new Director of English Primary here at Institut International de Lancy.

I join IIL as an experienced leader in global education, having held key roles in the United Kingdom, Switzerland and South-East Asia. I am delighted to become part of a school with such an impressive reputation for international education; attracting families and employees from all over the world. The mission of IIL encapsulates the power of its school community and how much we can achieve when we work together. It is a vision of a world towards which we all strive. We aim to have peace and respect within the world and if we educate upon these guiding principles then the future, by definition, will be better. This is what makes Institut International de Lancy such a special place and why I am extremely motivated to be involved in shaping its future.

My educational philosophy is straightforward, focussed on promoting a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum. This is underpinned by outstanding teaching and high-quality learning, to empower all students to realise, pursue and achieve their individual potential. I believe in establishing creative and innovative learning environments in which students and adults feel happy, safe and motivated to develop and succeed. Under my leadership, students will be encouraged to grow into well-rounded, harmonious global citizens, who are willing to serve others for a better world.

Although it will take me a number of weeks to thoroughly get to know IIL’s students and parents, I am grateful for your understanding and patience as I familiarise myself with the school. Nevertheless, I am committed to providing stability and strong leadership from the offset. This includes well-founded and fair decision making, supported by effective communication and honest feedback.

I look forward to meeting you and your children over the coming weeks as we embark on this exciting new journey together.
